Things that take your breath away….

It doesn’t matter how many times I cruise, the first moment I lay eyes on a cruise ship I’m about to embark upon takes my breath away. Just a little gasp, but a little gasp so filled with gratitude that it sneaks right out my eyeballs.

I feel so fortunate to be embarking on this 35 night journey thru Hawaii, Tahiti, and marquesas (for the third time). Sometimes I find myself wondering how is this my life? I’m just a small town girl from Michigan doing her best to make her dreams come true and today I am filled with such a profound sense of appreciation that it really did sneak out my eyeballs.

I would be remiss if I didn’t tell you a little story about my friend Jeff who showed up at last years pre cruise party with custom koozies for everyone.! was so taken back by that random act of kindness that I decided to play it forward and hope this becomes a legendary cruise tradition!

I think the precruise gatherings the last two nights were a success. How can they not be? 100 people all sharing in the excitement of cruising together. We had lots of wine, some snacks, excited chatter and shenanigans from the usual suspects. I want to also thank Deb and MaryJane for their help with setting up and nametags and the crew that stayed after to help with cleaning up and of course to the Best Western Yaxht Harbor staff who graciously provided us space to gather and get comfy. Same place next year?

I’m about to head to the port. I’m not one to arrive before 1:00. We have 35 days of 24 hour food so skipping lunch is absolutely in my best interest.

See you onboard!!!
