On this itinerary, The Kdam overnights in Honolulu which opens up infinite possibilities for how to spend your time.

If you want to visit Pearl Harbor pay special attention to when reservations open as it sells out very quickly. Don’t worry about the cruise excursion- Honolulu has very reliable ride share and bus services.
I moved to Honolulu when I graduated high school, and while that was back in the 80s, some things have changed and some stayed the same. Because I am fortunate to spend ample time in Hawaii on land trips I had nothing formal planned for this stop. Just going to go where ever the wind took me.
I contemplated hiking diamond head but by the time I got around to committing, the reservation times were yucky (yes, you need reservations to hike diamond head). I did join a group from the cruise and ubered to Halekulani for drinks and a hula.
Of course, no trip to Hawaii is complete without a monkeypod Mai-Tai. That honey Liliko’i foam is the whip. Nothing like it. Thank me later.

When I was here last year on the Kdam I organized a shark cage dive on the north shore. If interested in details shoot me an email. It was an awesome experience for this adrenaline junkie and I would highly recommend!!

Great info. Would love to see hula at the Halekulani. Especially with a Maitai in hand!
