I will give credit where credit is due and whomever is planning the parties is putting in substantially more effort than either year on the K’dam and it shows.

The last two years the masquerade party has been pretty lame. This year the decorations in Rolling Stones were on point, and there was a lot of crowd participation with the masks. I suspect that is because while the ship was in Honolulu, the staff went and bought a whole bunch of crafting supplies and held multiple art sessions for people to make their own masks. Of course, the “masquerade party”’portion of the evening ended at 9:00 pm with a mask contest among guests, but it’s HAL and one must expect an early night.

I managed to close Rolling Stones again and I’d guess there were at least a dozen of us still dancing last set so that’s an improvement. BTW- when I say “close Rolling Stones” I mean 10:45. Every night of this 35 night cruise RS entertainment ends at 10:45 and they are the late band. Don’t choose to cruise on HaL nightlife is a prioritiY.

The masquerade ball started at 7:00 with Vivace playing music in RS and the cast from world stage singing songs from Phantom Of the Opera. It was packed and a crowd favorite.

They were playing a game of the masked singer in billboard too and the staff all made a

Masked appearance in RS. The party ended with a mask contest among passengers on the 8:45 RS band break.

We were on a love train until 9:45- then, like most evenings, the majority of people leave between the second and third set (second set ends at 9:45 and third set starts at 10pm). Between sets they blast the lights and it feels like last call and I suspect that contributes to the mass exodus. I keep mentioning it in the “let us know” but no change.
