Our hotel in San Cristobal

If you are looking for a location with a great view in the center of town you would be hard pressed to find a hotel better than the Sunset Galápagos. The service was exceptional and the room was spotless. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel!!!

From our balcony we could watch all the comings and goings of the waterfront, and were always entertained by the huge colony of sea lions that call the downtown San Cristobal home.

Breakfast was served on the top floor. Offerings were just like our hotel in Santa Cruz which we called a “Galápagos breakfast”- eggs, yogurt, toast, juice, and coffee. And on the morning we had an early morning activity they sent up a lunch (sandwich, apple, and juice) to make up for missing breakfast).

Did I mention that the hotel had exceptional service!! Andrea (I maybe spelling that incorrectly) was always smiling and ready to help us. When she learned that Bob was missing his guitar she brought her own guitar in the next day (well actually she has her son bring it in because she rides a motorcycle). Can you believe that??? Bob was so happy. It had been almost a month of travl and he missed his guitar terribly. He even joined in with some locals one evening across the street, and, of course, he serenaded me nightly :) NOW THAT"S SERVICE~!!

Our room had excellent air, a microwave, and a fridge. The shower was huge also. I would absolutely stay here again.
